May sound obvious, I thought it should be but how can I print, not on a sheet, progress elevations, all at the same scale. I set the scale at "1 to 20 feet, scale it to 50% onto 11 x 17 sheets but they all come out at differenct scales. DO I have to put them on sheets?

If your view will fit on the sheet that you are printing to with the scale as you have it set, then just print it @ 100% & centered. It will print correctly. DON'T SCALE TO FIT
