I have made cabinets with "width" instance parameter but I want to make it so the grips or shape handle thingys adjust in 3" increments. So the widths can only be 30", 33", 36", etc. I can't come up with a formula that will do this. HELP!!!!

Hi mand0002 Cant think of any easy way to do this, you might have to manually type them in under the family properties in the project... you could try adding reference planes in the family at 3" increments, setting them to be strong references then seeing if the shape handles will snap to them as you drag it out. Else add the family to a group of reference planes inside the project, and place the group rather than the family.... all are pretty elaborate workarounds though... Hope this helps!

If this is a width - not length, then why not do the width as a type parameter? That really makes more sense since that's the way the industry works. Incremental widths (type) but variable lengths (instance).
