Does anyone know if you can do an exterior rendering w/o shadows.  I know I can just export a jpeg of ashaded or hidden line perspective view, but I would like to have the materials rendered.  I've been trying for a while and just can't figure it out.

Hi SWsam,

Its been a while since Ive done any rendering but there are two approaches that spring to mind:

Soft Shadows.

Not sure how familiar you are with these, but if you really crank them up and set the rendering quality to better or best, you'll find the become so spread you dont really notice them as shadows (also makes for a really nice soft image, like out of a studio).

Shadow intensities:

Arent there option under rendering to adjust the shadow levels? make them zero? Else when you manually apply shadows (under advances vgraphics), set the shadow level to 0, then tell the rendering to 'use sun and shadow settings from view' option... would have to test that one...

Let us know how you go!
