I've been in AEC since the early 90's and am a die hard CAD (mouse pusher). I work in struct. design but do real estate investing on the side (yeah, I know). But lately a few engineers and gc's have talked about getting a desing-build firm started. Then a tech friend of mine turned me on to Revit Arch. 2008. WOW. Not to drag this out but I'm building an investment property out here and was using Punch Home Design for the 3d walk through and it took me 45mins. w/ Revit to get to 4 DAYS of work fussing around w/ Punches "nudge" commands. What a joke. Anyway, I'm hooked and this really might change the trajectory of our plans. Again, WOW!!! Hope to hear from the Revit gurus sometime soon. Thanks.
