It seems like the design options in 6.0 are more for appendages to buildings instead of completely different design options. Therefore, it seems like it is more for later in the design than say for several, schematic design schemes. It appears to me to be something that you would only use if you knew part of your design was definitely staying. If your design options were completely different it would seem easier to just have different project files.
