First and foremost, here is a little background on me: I learned Revit 7.0 and 8.0 in an architectural basis. The project given to our class was to design a building in Revit and render it and well as create a walkthrough and presentation (3-4 weeks). Now I am working in the field with a company that is new to Revit and seriously looking to implement its uses. I am the one with the most Revit knowledge, so I am testing out the software features. I am using Revit Structure 2008 and Revit Architecture 2008. I need to know the major difference between "Linking" files and creating "Worksets". It seems that I would create worksets within one application of Revit  ( Revit Str. or Revit Arch.) and during a later phase of the design process. Right now I have linked the Revit Str. file to the Revit Arch file and I'm learning how to manage these links and how to use the "Share Coordinates" option. Any tips on this subject are definitely welcome. Hint: my boss wants everything to move with the grid lines. I’m thinking of creating coordinates that are on a grid line. Also, I need to know how to coordinate my views so that in Revit Str the non-load bearing walls appear. I need to know a proper way to link these files... if I open Revit Arch. and link the Revit Str. should I then do the same with Revit Str.?I will have more questions on creating complex family members and defining parameters on customized beams and columns. Please offer any assistance as I am new to this job and new to this software and a lot is being expected of me. Thank You.
