I'm having a problem trimming my 2 roof by footprints. The main roof has a 8/12 pitch and the corner roof has a 9/12 pitch. Would it work better to make them 1 roof combined? I'm not really sure what I should do to get them joined and trimmed where they intersect. Any help is much appreciated. I tried using the roof join but since it's in a corner it won't let me do it. Any suggestions? Below is a couple of screenshots of what I have right now. Thanks.

If the fascias are at the same ht you can make one roof sketch. If not just use the opening tool to cut off what you don't need of the roofs at their juncture.

i had the same problem. I created two different masses ("create mass" ) and then join the mass. (thereby cutting the mass). After this i used the "roof by face" function and it worked perfectly. Just make sure youre mass had the same dimension as your roof.
