Hi All,

I am upgrading my Revit 8.1 to Revit Architecture 2008.

My notebook is AMD Turion 64, 2G and ATI 128 mb.

Before I do that, I need help and advice from users that have done the installation.

I would like advice on the following:

1 - What are the files in Revit 8.1 that I need to save to reuse in Revit 2008?

2 -  If I installed in metric version, would I be able to work on imperial later or read dataset

      done by imperial?

3-  What are the problems you faced that I should be warned.

4-  Any handy tips on the installation.

I have already printout the Installation Instructions. It didn't say anything about the above.

Thank you in advance for any advice here. Cheers.

They are two sep. programs with two sep. install locations. If you have custom templates, mlib files etc. you'll need to open them in 2008 and save them where you want.  But you shouldn't have any issues. You can run both programs on the same machine.

Thanks sdbrown. You mean I can still run my old Revit 8.1. That's great.

Will do the installation soon. Cross my fingers!
