Nobody in our office can come up with a fitting word.   What do you call an EXTERIOR wainscot of brick or stone? When I look up "wainscot" in websters it specifically states wainscot only references INTERIOR features.

Wainscot. You are trying to relay information to the guys in the field. They will know what it is. If you are particular about proper identification, then maybe not. I have always called it brick wainscot. All of us guys out in the field call it wainscot. To us, it means half way up.....roughly Maybe call a well known brick guy and ask him, or the local brick supply place. I'm sure they will say the same thing even though it might not be entirely the correct word to use.
