So you've got your Render Scene (the same one you used for Raytrace)

On your Design Bar, under the Rendering tab, click Settings to get the Render Scene Settings to pop up.  Click Radiosity Settings, select a Quality value (the higher you select, the longer it will take to render.  I find that Better usually does the trick, but play around with it if you have time to determine just how much time you want to invest for how much quality.)  Under Solution Goal, select how many steps you want to use (this is how many times the light bounces around in the calculation.  Again, higher humbers will give you a better quality, but will take much longer.)  Select a value for Color Bleeding.  This is how saturated (bright) your reflected light is (somewhere between 0 and 1.  the closer to 1, the more like high noon the light will appear).  Click OK and let your computer think.  (maybe go get a cup of coffee if you don't have much RAM, like me).

Take a Saturday sometime and just play around with different settings and qualities to figure out which ones give you the graphic quality you like.  If in doubt, check the posts here, or, look into your help menu that came with Revit.

Best of luck.

Radiosity can't be used for exteriors, its better u try for the  sun & sky settings that can improve the quality of your exterior renderings or its better if u render the scene in 3ds max.

How or where can i find the "stone" patterns for my walls in the program?

I have a structure built, but i dont like what the program offers( or maybe i dont know how to find it)

Radiosity is used only for small architectural interiors, as the program will tell you when you try to use it.

Before you use radiate... you will want to set a new scene up, to do this you go up to settings, then render scene, and save a new scene with the settings you want. You will want to try to group your lights into either rooms or floors and reconize the daylighting as well. If there isn't any, then you can turn the sun off as well as the groups of lights off that do not affect the render that you are producing. Radiate... will calculate the light in the room before you Raytrace, which gives you a more life like render.

All of this will be obsolete in a way though in under 30 days. The new version of Revit that is coming out, which actually has mental ray built into the software. (A nod to King Revit.) Mental Ray is basically the same thing as 3d studio max.

There are a couple of other programs out there that are good to use with Revit, other than 3d studio max, which are

Maxwell Render and Piranesi. You should look up Piranesi anyway. It's basically 3d photoshop and more than likely what photoshop will eventually become.

I hope that helps. Hold on for a month for the new Revit version and everything will change of course. I'm so excited myself, that I can hardly wait.
