In my titleblock family, how do I create a new tag perimeter so it shows the sample text instead of "?". For example: I would like to create a new tag perimeter for where the drawing file is located within our server system. I would like for this tag to read Project Location, prior to the draftsman modifying it. A visual example of this would be linked to this thread http://www.revitcity.com/forums.php?action=viewthread&thread_id=828. The 5th post down. Please look in the upper left hand corner of the border. Where the diagonal line is. There you should see two "?". One above the line and one below. The top one is suppose to read Bid Set while the lower should read Not For Construction. Again, thanks for your time. You seem to be the best way to get any helpful information over the internet. =)

Ahh you found one of my pet hates... It seems that sample text in the family file isn't carried over when you load the titleblock into the project. I've never understood this. The only way i could think of doing this would be to setup a template file with the titleblock already loaded and one sheet setup. Then its a matter of editing it once in the template file, saving it and using this for all new projects. I'd probably also make them type parameters over instance... As i'd imagine there will be a point when you want to issue all for construction and thus will want to remove all the not for construction labels, which will be time consuming if you have to go through each and every sheet. With regard to the file location, this is currently unable to be reported... You can only add a parameter that states the file name at this stage and not its location. HTH.
