I'm a new revit 8.0 user and I'm getting a little confused with the end product of the family that I created.  I'm creating a precast concrete beam made of two different sizes.  The ends are of the same size and are more wide than the middle section.  I can flex the beam in all directions and I have no problems.  The problem that I'm having involves the visualization aspect.  I'm getting an outline of the larger section as well as the smaller middle section when I do a section cut facing out.  I should only get an outline of the larger section.  From a modeling perspective I don't mind this, however if I do a quantity take off I don't want to have skewed figures.  I would appreciate any input on this matter.
