If I create a filled region, is there anyway to move the hatch in the region so that it lines up properly?

If your filled region is using a "Model" type hatch pattern you can use Align, Move, Rotate commands to adjust the pattern.

If it is a "Drafting" type pattern you cannot adjust the lines.

Okay, so how do you get a "model" filled region?

When you are setting up the properties of the filled region you will be selecting a hatch pattern. In the pattern dialog there are two radio buttons. One says "Drafting" and the other says "Model". Select the Model type.

that seems so easy, however the MODEL option is grayed out.  I'm only allowed to select DRAFTING.

If you open both pattern files with a text editor, you'll see that on contained a line containing TYPE=MODEL. The default is DRAFTING.

Find and open the file Revit.pat and read its leading comments for an explanation of what is occurring.
