I am attempting to insert a beam or beam system using the LH Series Bar Joist provided in Revit 8.1. Every time that I attempt to insert one of the bar joists I get an error message saying it can not create the structural framing. I've tried inserting the joist using structural bearing walls, structural columns, and structural girders to bear on, each time with no success. I'm able to insert any other type of beam, both independantly or as a beam system, but if I try to change a previously insert beam to any of the Bar Joists, I get the same error. Any thoughts?

Has no one encountered a similar issue to this? I'd appreciate any input, even if it is to say that this error has never been encountered.

How long is your LH Series Bar Joist? I was able to create one in Revit 2009, but it could not be any shorter than 15'-0" in length. If it's shorter than 15'-0" I get an error "Cannot Make Type". I believe this is because of the array used in the webbing of the joist.

My length is 23'-6". It still won't work and the error message does not make much sense. I've also tried just changing the definition of an existing bar joist and that does not work either.
