I use a 3D Structural view which has only structural components visible. I have made an appropriate template for this purpose. I cannot see my lift shaft walls because I have set walls to be not visible. Can I make a new category (wall or structure) for the lift shaft and include it in my view? I don't want to cheat und make it as a floor! Is there a better solution?

If your shaftwalls had a unique word in their name (like "shaftwall"  then you could create a filter (pulldown menu... Settings/Filters) that includes only objects with the word Shaftwall in the name.  This filter then can be used in your view properties to make the shaftwalls visible.(View properties/Edit visibility graphics/ filters)
