I have tried two different methods to create a wall with thicker bottom (18"Winking than top (6"Winking (inside of wall is vertical, outside of wall slants) . In each, the wall comes out fine, but I can not get windows to insert into the wall. Any ideas why I wouldn't be able to do this? I have tried making the walls with In-Place family Sweeps, In-Place family extrude and void sweep. Also, I have made sure that I am creating the In-Place families as wall families. A local user answered my question... I needed to insert windows/doors in an ELEVATON VIEW, it doesn't work in plan view when you have an in-place wall family. Another local user provided these written instructions for making a battered wall (see attachment): 1) create an in-place family using the wall category (as you mentioned) 2) select solid blend, then draw the bottom and the top surfaces. for the height, I changed the depth of the blend to 12' -0" 3) make sure to say finish family 4) finally, place doors and windows ( you will need to modify the frames so that they are not there or adjust to the angle of the wall - use reference lines for this)
