We are working in 2008. During a redline exercise a view on a sheet was found to be unresponsive. We cannot select the view from the sheet it has been placed on (thus I cannot delete the view or recreate the sheet). I have gone to the view through the file browser and checked its properties, everything looks normal, as do the properties of the sheet.

Has anyone experienced anything like this?

Is this the only view on the sheet?  And when you say you cant recreate it, are you trying to duplicate from the project browser?

This is not the only view on the sheet. It is one of about 5 views and 2 schedules. All the other views/schedules/legends on the sheet are reacting.

And yes I am trying to "duplicate with detailing" from the browswer, particularly under the views area (not directly on the sheet).

I have had this problem too. Deleting the sheet and replacing the views is the only thing that has worked. It is really odd.

i have had the same prob several times, i try to watch what i do when it happens but never seem to catch it.  but i can delete the view off the sheet through the project browser. the i just replace the view on the sheet.  thus leaving the sheet and the other views.

That sounds like a much better way of doing it. Thanks for the post, I completely missed going to the browser and deleting the view from the sheet drop down.
