atleast a P4 2.8GHz with 2 gig DDR Ram and alteast a radeon 9800XT video card...
Ram is the key when saving and opening the project so the more and faster it is the better experiences you'll have.

Mr Spot in my experience so far with Revit the processor and ram are your 2 main components you should be focusing on. Even with the rendering engine in revit utilizing the graphics the rendering is still mostly handled by the processor. In my experience a semi-decent graphics card should be plenty.
