I have a co-worker working in Autocad, with an x-ref floor plan in modelspace, and different viewports of that floor plan in paperspace, which I want to bring into Revit.

Is there a way to import that Autocad file into Revit and have it retain the modelspace / paperspace relationship of viewports?  It seems if I try importing the file into a Revit sheet, only paperspace information comes in (without the viewports).  If I import the file into a Revit drafting view, only model space information comes in.  This may be an Autocad question, but aside from re-creating all of the veiwports in Revit, is there a way to "flatten" the autocad image into either 'space and have both sets of info?

Thanks!

Take a look at this BLOG
http://autodesk.blogs.com/between_the_lines/2007/04/autocad_export_.html
or do a Google search on 'export layout'
The tool is still in alpha and only works with AutoCAD 2008, but it does what you are looking for.

Thanks Tom.  This looks like a cool product.  We will try it out and see how well it works.
