I was trying to do a spiral wall (circular wall with varied elevation profile) with no luck. The option to "edit elevation profile" disappears with curved walls. In ADT you can do this easily with "edit roof/floor line". Thnks in advance

to do this you're going to have to create an in-place family using solids and voids. You would create your circular wall with a solid and then cut away from it with voids, probably multiple voids in this case.

For a revit beginner this sounds too complicated. I find revit outstanding but the ability to do custom made items worries me. In ADT there is always ways to manipulate - while getting the job done is way too complex!!! I wish there is a way to get the best of both...

Some would say that the thought behind revit is to build buildings like they're really built...and if it's difficult to build in real life, you should take the time to think about it while modelling it. I do agree however that some complex modeling should be a little bit easier in Revit. I find revit to be about 10 times more efficient than ADT for most other things though. And keep in mind that you can import DWF's into Revit as 3d objects...
