I have a linked file of a building our company has done earlier in my new project and it continuesly upgrades when I open the project. I have opened the file and purged etc. to make it smaller! I have also removed all the interior element that we do not need to show etc. and yet it stil upgrades each time I open the project! Am I missing something? Its not a big issue just very anoying that I have to wait each time I open the project! Thanks

When you purge the linked file, are you resaving it as the same project or a different project? It sounds like it's trying to open an older linked project every time. Be sure the link is pointing to the new project file if you're saving it as something different. If all else fails, place some ref. planes to mark the position of the linked project, unload it and reload it.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders. The most famous is never get involved in a land war in asia, but only slightly less well known is this! Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line! |
