I'm trying to mask part of an aerial image, but when I place a masking or solid white filled region over the top it looks correct on the screen but only shows the outline when it plots. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Try printing using the raster selection instead of vector.

I could be wrong, but I think the plotter automagically switches to Raster mode any time there is an image in the view.  Or at least I've always got a warning that said it was printing in Raster mode despite being set to Vector in the options.
