When exporting a 2d dwf, the file size is huge! For example, I exportes some sheets from revit and the dwf size was nearly 3200kb, I then opened the sheets in Design Review, and re-saved, not the dwf file size is ~800kb, which is more suitable for email. Don't know if this is a bug, but it would be nice to have revit save smaller dwf files.

If the view has raster images it will be a large file. Also there is an option when publishing to dwf to inclued model objects and room area. If you don't need to list the objects in the dwf uncheck these and it will be smaller also.

Has anyone figured this out? My file size with the 2008 "Publish DWF > 2D" averages 3mb per drawings and with the old DWF writer they averaged less than 500kb. Is there a fix? None of the drawings have raster images. I've tried with "Model Elements" on and off, same results. Please help! I have to DWF a set of about 50 drawings and the file size is almost as large as the .RVT file size.
