Good Morning, I am using revit 2008 mep. I am attempting to place some casework components I made into my model. I am not able to get the component to place in plan, althought I can place it in 3d mode, and then edit it in plan. Any idea what i am doing wrong?

The Family file is attached for anyone who is interested

Looks like you made a generic floor based family then changed it to casework. It would still have to attach to the floor. In your floor plan view, if you have the visibility of floors turned off, then you will not be able to place it. You will need to type VG and enable floors in your view. If they are already, they may be beyond the view plane and you may have to play with the settings a little.

Sorry, not sure what the orientation question was though. All you need is to sketch your family in your project. You can also place flip controls for the family in the family editor if you so desire.
