Could someone please give me a brief summary of the difference beteen Area Plans and Colour Fills:- ie The difference between them. I am trying to get my head around the whole subject. I can use colour fills on any "standard" plan view. I can organise the colour fill by name, department, etc. So why do I need an Area Plan- what (specifically) would I use an area plan for that I couldn't just use a clolour fill on a duplicated plan view. Many thanks Ian

Area plans are designed to generate a view showing square footage. You cannot place an Area Tag on or Area Boundary a standard plan view. Color fills can have many uses (ie. Occupancy, Finish Plans, ..etc.) as well as Area Designations. HTH
