Hi, If I use the "sunglasses" and hide an element, when I print, the hidden element prints. Is there a way to have the hidden element not print? -Joe

Depends. If you have 2 couches and you want 1 couch two show and the other not, you need to set up a filter. If you have 2 couches and you dont want any of them to show along with any furniture you can shut off furniture in Visibility Graphics. Note: This is only true for Revit 9.1, please post what Revit you are using when you post as well.

Ah, that makes it much easier for you. Click on the element, right click, and go to "Hide In View" and then go to "Element." That will make it so that it does not print.

It may be possible to use Design Options to hide these things. Create an empty design option as the primary, and put the elements you don't want to see in the alternate design option. Also, you may be able to put those elements on another workset and then use selective workset loading. Worst case scenario, use a white filled region with invisible lines to hide them, or use the linework tool. Those be my thoughts.

One last thought - you could create a view filter that operated on the family:type name of those components, and rename or duplicate/rename those components as necessary to make the filter work.
