My problem is that I was attempting to create a Box Beam ceiing using walls (have since changed to a soffit). I placed the walls, but then when attempting to do a rendering, the bottom edge of the wall is not finished. Is there a way to finish the tops and bottoms of walls?

Thanks Christine

Im not sure if there is a revit way to do it, but what I just did was to modify the section properties of the wall, and split the core making the split 5/8" from the top and assigned that layer to be GYP, you could do the same thing to the base...the thing with this is that you would want it to be a seperate wall type from your normal wall that doesnt finish at the top or bottom.  Try that and see how it works for you.

For rendering purposes just hit the bottom face with the paint tool.

The paint tool is a good idea two, my only question about doing it that way would be when i'm just doing a colored model without actually rendering....renderings take a little longer, and we find it easier to print the colored models for any preliminary designs.
