I am having issues with importing between revit and max. Eporting to 3D DWG and then linking the DWG in max works fine, but as soon as I try to render the render window gives a 'transforming vertices' message that runs for an inordinately long time. This process with a revit generated file takes about 10 times longer than with a native Autocad file. Any ideas on how to speed up this process?

We have tried to 'clean' the file in autocad (purge & audit, and even pasting it into a clean drawing) but to no avail.

I experienced the same problem when importing revit model into max (using link manager to link dwg) and render in Vray.

We have been through this a couple of times now, and find to date that using max 8 with an older vray works. As soon as chaos group finally gets the dongle for the new vray here we are hoping that this latest release vray will fix this (at least that is what the guys at chaosgroup tells us).

Thanks for the information, can you please give me the exact version number of Vray which works for you? Currently we are using V-Ray Adv 1.5 RC3 in max8.
