I'm new here and to Revit. Working in an Architects office with goals to convert to Revit from AutoCAD. I'm the only one in the office working in Revit right now and I Joined to start getting help. My current question is how to rotate or add constraints to a beam to align it w/ a sloped roof? It is a custom built beam from the templates that flex's properly in the family and when loaded in the project. Chad

Welcome. What family category is it? If its structural framing then simply set your work plane (up near the top left of screen) to the underside of the roof and then draw your beam. HTH.

Originally designed using the 'Structural Framing - Complex & Trusses.rft' I tried setting the work plane and once I put the beam/truss in it just aligns with the floor plan view I am at. Chad
