Hi

I'm having trouble showing the room number of a door located on 1/2 level floors.  Any suggestions?

Thanks

Is the door on a level 1/2 floor above the floor that the view is on?  If so, you may just need to adjust your view range to be make the cut plane about 8' above the level instead of 4'.  This is located in the View Properties dialogue (type 'VP') then scroll down till you see 'View Range'.  If that messes up your view too badly, there is a way to make just a portion of your view different from the rest of the view, but I have to rememebr how to do it.

Let us know if that does not work.   Also, what version are you running?

The 1/2 level is below the level of the view.  I'll try adjusting the view range. Thanks.

I'm using Revit Building 9

Changing the view range did not work, nor did canging the Limit Offset for the room.  Why would the 1/2 level change affect the room number appearance of the door schedule.  As long as the room is being defined by the wall which contains the door there should be an association with the door and the room correct?

Negatory sir.  By default the View Range on a level is set to only view things between 0'-0" and 4'-0" above the level of the view you are on.  Since the Door Tag is an annotation (which I'm guessing sits between 0'-0" and 4'-0" of the level of the door that is tagged) the tag will not be viewable.  Example: Level 1, at which you can see door tags, is at 0' AFF and Level 2, at which you can not see the door tags, is set at 5' BFF of Level 1.  The view range of level 1 is set to view things between 0'-4' AFF of Level 1.  The door tags for the doors on Level 2 reside somewhere at 5'-1' BFF of Level 2 making the Door Tags on Level 2 hidden.

Try using 'Plan Region' in the View toolbar.  Create a box around the items on the half floor below.  Select the box and change the view range of that region.  See if that does anything.  If that doesn't work, some other foul demon may be at work here.

Let us know.

Chaning the view range does not work either. I tried creating a plan region.

To clarify the problem- the room tag DOES appear in plan.  The issue is in the door schedule.  The room number DOES NOT appear in the door schedule.
