Hi everyone,

I am creating a flush overlay cabinet family and had to move the already created projection lines seen in elevation. I am trying to make my own, but they don't flex...

how should i align them / what should i align them to? the face of the object? reference planes? and how can they associate with the already existing EQ/EQ dimesion, so they flex correctly? its hard to align them to anything since they are at an angle...

anything advice is bound to help!

thanks all.

The trick here is to set up ALL of your reference planes and have them flexing before you begin aligning any of your models to them.  This means making different family types and assuring the reference planes move according to how you want thme to before adding the model of the cabinet.

It sounds like you're wanting to set up a dashed (or whatever your standard is) door in elevation that shows how far the cabinet door will swing open and have this door flex to the actual door size.  It should work the same way as the modeled door (assuming you are modeling the cabinets and not just detail lining them).  Just connect the elevation door's width to the door width parameter you have controlling the model.

I hope this gets you started.  I'm not positive I fully understand the nature of your question, so if I completely missed please post back.   Good luck!

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders. The most famous is never get involved in a land war in asia, but only slightly less well known is this! Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line!
