Can anyone please tell me what to do when you have a door in your schedule that wont give a room number or name.

I have three doors that are not working wright.

1st door  (Door is in a room on an ext. wall and in the schedule It just gives the door number.  I have deleted it and eplaced the door but I cant get it to work.)

2nd door (Gives the the wrong room number and name.  THe rooms name that it gives is on the other side of the building and is not linked to this room.)

3rd door (Same as 2 but different room)

I have discovered the following "rules" that may help you.

FIRST: In order to have something in this field, you must have a proper room on at least one side of the door.  If there is no room on either side, this field will be blank and you can not put anything there.

Second: The door-to (door-from) field will normally give you the options of both rooms but I'm not sure which side it defaults to.  You can switch, by instance, which room you consider that to be in your door schedule.

Third:  If the door is bounded on both sides by the same room, this field will be blank.  This can happen if your wall is not room-bounding.  (Properties)

For exterior doors, you could take advantage of this by adding room bounding lines around the building and naming the enclosed room EXTERIOR.

I suggest you turn on rooms on your floor plan, tile your windows so that you have the door schedule & floor plan side by side, then pick the door in question and study what shows up in plan.  Check for doors with duplicate numbers and rooms that may not be properly bounded.
