I'm doing a solar / shading study for a client using Revit Architecture 2008.  When I turn on the shadows for the site plan, all of the shadows are oriented for PLAN NORTH and NOT TRUE NORTH.  I have to add 120 degrees (the rotational angle between PN and TN) to the azimuth to orient the shadows correctly.  I've tried selecting the "Relative to View" box, but the results are not only wrong, but the shadows are somewhat bizarre (i.e. shadows of column capitals casting from the base and in the opposite direction of what they were before selecting it).  Why are the shadows not casting correctly and how do you fix it?

We have also had this problem, and I've found that if we start a new project with our template the shadows orient to project north, but if we start from scratch without a template the shadows are correct for true north!

Is this a bug, or do we need a new template? Is there a way to recover our current projects which have this problem?
