Basically i want to know if i can combine 2 test fields into one so i can have the information that i have put on the 2 fields in the one column i.e frist field is Type Comments second field is Comments and if i can comnine touse fields together so the can be called Overall Comments is there a formular to do this i know i can do it with numbers

do you mean just grouping the 2 text fields and have a heading above them? similar to the attached?

Revit does not support text concatenation via formula. The best you can do is the group heading thing as suggested.

The fact that we can't combine strings is a problem and I hope they add that feature to REVIT. What I did when I had a similar problem: - I placed my columns side by side - kept one of the column headings (comments) - blanked the other column (type comments) - turned off the grid so that I didn't have the vertical lines - added the correct grid lines to my sheet RESULT - the field has the correct data although there is some extra spaces occasionally between the two comments.

that god for this thread i am workin in mep 08 trying to create ventilation schedules and this a major problem i have been having.
