can it be done? right now what happens is I grab the text box and the box gets larger but the text stays the same size.

this is not possible in revit. You can create new text types with larger text...

hi there,
this is my first post to the forum [just 3 months into revit], and it may seem a little less than timely considering the date of this post, but here goes:
you can stretch text by using the 'width factor' in properties.
