I am trying to add corner trim.  I have created a profile family to do a wall sweep and I have it loaded.  When I try to enter the sweep, it will not put the sweep on the corner.  It will only get within about 6" of the corner.  I have tried placing it, and then moving it to the corner but I get an error that says that the "sweep position is outside of its wall"  Any ideas what I am missing here?

You should use a generic model or line based family for corner trim. Hosted sweeps don't work well for this application.

I am having the same problem, but not on all the corners.  I did create my profile as a generic wall based, but i cannot get to it as a profile to select in my element profile, I am using the host sweep\wall sweep\trim.  the only profiles i can get are the standard ones and the ones i created as a hosted profile.

So the profile i have been using was created as a host base profile and it is working in most corners, but then it wont work on others...it comes within a few inches of the corner then dissapears???  any ideas?

I think I just resolved that issue with the Sweep coming off that wall.  Sometime when the walls turned a corner there was only about 3 in. that actually turned the corner.  You need to use the Edit Wall Joint command and mitre the corners.  That way you have total wall length to the corner.

i use the wall join configuration tool. make sure your walls are going the right (see attached) make a outside and inside corner profile, vertical sweeps. much easier.
