Hi All,  I am unable to draw a roof on a just four walls at a particular elevation.  I get an error message "Cut Level Can't Be Below Bottom of Roof".  I have adjusted the View Range parameters in many configurations and still get the message. If I draw the roof at a lower evlevation no problem !!   Help please???

Hi cirees--- You can only access the roof cutoff button after the roof is finished---- I get the error after sketching the roof lines --- I am prevented from finishing the roof-----   perhaps someoe has another approach???--- learning in the early stages is frustrating --- I hope someone can save me from total frustration---- I am usually a good student--Thanks

not the properties button in the Status Bar, look to your left in the design bar. you will see "Roof Properties"

After you click roof>roof by footprint, the design bar to the left changes. This is one thing you CONSTANTLY have to watch for in Revit. The interface changes when you select a command just about every time. Especially the options bar.

Good luck and welcome to RevitCity
