I am following the Revit Tutorial in the Help Menu for Family Creation. I followed along, step by step and when I tried to add a Label parameter to a dimension, this error appeared 'Labeling this dimension would overconstrain the sketch.' I don't know what i am doing wrong. Any advice would be appreciated. thanks.

that error happens when there's already another dimension attached to your constraints or if something is locked. You have to check all the views for dimensions to the constraints you are trying. There could be one already in the family.

I'm having the same issue.  I have 2 dims on the width of the door, and I'm assuming I am getting the error because I should only have one on the door.  However, I can't delete either of the dimension lines.  I don't think they are locked to anything or vice versa.

Yeah, use only one dimension with parameter to control that...

The problem I'm having is that I can't delete either dimension.  The program won't let me.

Delete parameter then, associated with that dimension
