Hi everyone, I am having problems with a 2' vertical pattern i applied to all of my outside walls. The intent is to show them as 2' pannels in 10' sections. I am having a problem with the pattern starting a few inches inside of the wall edge, causing the wall pattern to shift over. I thing that I might be drawing / joining my walls incorrectly, causing the edge of the wall to start short of its true starting point. If i drag the node that shows up when i click on the wall 'drag wall end' to the end of the wall, the pattern in elevation is fine, but the wall is no longer joining the other wall. IF the walls join properly, then the wall pattern is shifted over. I have attached two jpegs showing the issue in plan view.

Is your pattern a model pattern or a drafting pattern? I would suggest remaking the pattern as a model pattern if it is not, this will allow you to drag the pattern to wherever you need it to be without messing with the wall joins. So make your walls join clean then get your pattern working in a model pattern. HTH!

Since it is a model pattern, you can move and rotate it just like a normal element in en elevation view. Take advantage of this to line up the pattern the way you want it to show. HTH.

i finally figured it out. I didn't realize that I had to a) select the wall THEN b) TAB through the selection options until the wall pattern was selected. Thanks for your help!
