Is there an efficient way of adding multiple lines of text into a drawing, similar to MTEXT?  Revit's default text system just isn't doing it for me.

I'm confused.  Revit's Text Tool allows multiple lines of text.  Have you tried dragging a box the size of the text area you want?  Maybe I'm just missing what you want but I've never had problems adding multi-lined notes into Revit.

Let us know.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders. The most famous is never get involved in a land war in asia, but only slightly less well known is this! Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line!

Hi...Is anybody able to advise as to how I can get my text to be pinned into a position so that when I change the scale of my drawing the text annotation remains proportionately in relation to where it was initially placed. I might be missing the point but for example when I annotate/draw in scale say 1:100 but wish expand this to 1:50 the text displaces itself all over and I have to then go backwards and realign and reposition it all so that it does not conflict with the drawing entities. Your comments are appreciated.

There is no way to fix the problem.  The problem is, text in Revit is really unrefined and I think the developers know that.  When you click to modify Revit text, the size of the text increases while in that editing mode.  It throws the text off because of the automatic word wrapping that exists in text editor.  I would suggest avoiding indenting or tabbing for notes, try to avoid 'returning' to start a new line (let Revit do this), and put notes in a seperate detail sketch rather than placing them right on the plan sheet (I hope this makes sense).

Kc8wor, thanks. Your suggestions do make sense and if I understand what you're saying then ideally I should in effect create an underlay ( autocad type layer system) with the text on that and in different sizes relative to the plot scale. I do hope that the developers add a decent user friendly text editor in future packages....I am only working in v 9.1 at this stage and have not been able to go through 2008/9 yet....thanks again.
