During a clean-up/purging of info, a certain view in the model could not be deleted. It is a floorplan view, and was a copy of an original view (level 2) . It still identifies level 2 in its "associated level" parameter. When attempting to delete this view i receive the following warnings: This action has caused deletion of non-editable Workset ' View "Floor Plan: 2nd floor finish plan" '. when clicking "Make elements editable", the program spins a little bit, and the error message remains, with the "ok" tab greyed-out, and the "cancel" tab highlighted. I have also tried borrowing and owning all the project worksets, and still this view will not delete. any ideas?

We've had this happen before once. Revit support was unable to delete the view either. We had to "live" with the extra view.

This thread is ancient.  Has anyone found a solution to this problem in the last four years?  I am having the same problem when trying to make changes to various families and load them into the project.  There is a single workset giving the trouble.  First I thought it was because someone was listed as borrowing it.  We fixed that and the problem remains.  Finally I just renamed the family as "dead" and loaded the changed one into the project.  Now I have to change all the elements in use from "dead" to the "new" family.  There has to be a simple way to fix this.  Help!!
