Sometimes if an imported file (cad) is not linked (current view only) it can easily become lost when that particular view is deleted or its visibilty midified.  the instance is still int the system yet its difficult to find if you dont know where it was originally placed.  Is there an easy way to locate an imported instance so it can be deleted?  No options are available form manage links or visibility/graphics to select the instance in question (as far as i can tell).  thanks

This is where it is good to know what version you are using.  In Revit Architect 2008 you can just right click on the link in the Project Browser and 'Select All Instances' to have it highlight.

In anything earlier, I never knew of a way to locate links once they were in a view.  If I lost one, I just deleted it and made sure I selected manual placement next time so I know where it goes.

Good luck and let us know what you find.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders. The most famous is never get involved in a land war in asia, but only slightly less well known is this! Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line!
