hey folks,

i adjusted the object style of my cabinets so that when they are cut the outside line is heaviest. but when i go to the plan the cabinets are heavy as well, even though the projection lineweight is at 1. am i missing something?

along a similar front, when i try to adjust the lineweight (under object styles, "ceiling" category) of a ceiling that is cut in section, the projection lines (like a bulkhead beyond the section cut) also take on the same lineweight. am i missing soemthing? thanks for any advise!

ps. if anyone has any advise about the interior elevation crop lines snapping to a wall an making that wall's lineweight much thinner, i would appreciate you help. thanks again!

Can you post a screenshot of your object styles settings and then one of the section you are having the issue with, as i'm not experiencing those same issues here?

Are you sure you don't have Advanced Model Graphics - Silhoutte edges turned on in that view?  As long as you are only change the CUT object style and not projection linestyle you should be fine.

I always extend out those interior crop regions a little bit beyond the snap point purely for that reason.  It would be nice if linework couldn't be cropped in width.  For instance if you crop boundary passes half way through the thickness of the line, then the whole linewidth should show...  One for the wishlist...

Mr. Spot

thanks again for your help. here are two images that show what i am talking about. the ceiling lineweight only bumps up when the projection lineweight is changed. any ideas?

thanks also for your answer on the crop outline as well, this should be a setting that can be controlled. where should i go do let autodesk know that we want this ability?

That's really strange as i'm not experiencing that when i test the same thing here.  Are you sure the ceiling is being cut by the section?  It looks like it.  How about creating a 3D view then orientate other and select your section.  You should then be able to see if the ceiling is cutting in that view.

Alternatively just check your ceiling plan...?

nope.

Just tried the same thing with the elevation.

Remember where the elevation marker is sitting is not necessarily where the elevation plane is cutting.  In plan select the elevation and check to see where the plane shows...

Mr Spot,

the cut line for the elevation seems to be fine.

Anyway you can isolate this issue in a small file and post it to see if others are experiencing this?

What build of 9.1 are you using?  I'm currently testing in 2008...
