In Revit Building 9:

Is there a way to have sheets in a family file?

There is a sheets drop down in the browser... so can you define sheets?

No...sheets are only available in a project.

Why would you want to do something like this?

Is there any reason you couldn't load the family into a new project and print from there?

What I have found to work is create a seperate titleblock family as a GENERIC ANNOTATION.

You can apply lables and what not to it then load it into you 3d component family. It will come in as a symbol so just pick the symbol command and place it.

Otherwise if this is too much of a hassel I'll just export it to CAD and finish it in there.
