I have just upgraded to 2008 from 9.1, using the supplied discs. Previously I had bought a new pc and installed 9.1 on this. Both times Revit has come up with a serial no.000.0000000 and while the product works fine I cannot get into any of the online facilities. My dealer wont talk to me as I dont pay a separate fee for product support on top of Acad's subscrition. I don't see it being worthwhile paying out an extra £400 or so a year for something I wont use.

ACAD in Switzerland, the only Europe office I could speak to are happy  that both acad and revit are properly licenced but were unable to offer a remedy.

I dont know if  the problem goes back to when I tried v7.1 on what is now my server. I seem to remember I had a similar problem with v8( no numbers were shown) but was able to access the on line services through acad. Which I can't now do. Nor can I contact revit support to register my problem.

I would like to say, generally, I am a delighted user and now two years on I am getting perfectly acceptable results with Accurender.

the 000-0000000 serial number is a trial serial number and should expire after 30 days.  In Revit if you goto

Help-->Product License and Information-->and select Register, you will be given the opportunity to change your serial number to the correct number.

You can also change it by editing your license.lic file with notepad, which is located in your installation direction "Program" folder.

Thanks- licpath.lic worked a treat. I had and have tried via the help menus with no luck. the stand alone option did not let me alter the  000-00000000 no.

Thanks once again.
