Revit Verison: 9.1- - 20061202_0700

 Gidday,

I am currently doing some joinery elevations for a house and I want to know if I can place dimensions outside a crop region on a plot sheet to refer to the height of a benchtop? If I make the crop region bigger then the rest of the elevation shows up and is in the way of the dimension- therefore it is unreadable and also unneccesary information shows up. The only solution I have so far is to perhaps put a "blank" fill region over the unwanted drawing and put the dimension in front of the fill region (if thats even possible)...so basically I just want to know if there is an easy way to put dimensions on a plot sheet which refer to a particular view?

Also, is there any way to draw grids on the plot sheet so that they snap to a certain heightline in a view?

Any comments much appreciated Smile

Regards,

 Andrew

i HAVE JUST REALISED THAT I CAN DRAG THE DIMENSIONS OUTSIDE THE CROP REGION AND ADJUST THE CROP REGION WITHOUT ANY AFFECT ON THE DIMENSIONS....SO WHAT ABOUT SETTING UP GRIDLINE IN THE PLOTSHEET WHICH REFER TO LEVELS IN THE VIEWPORT?

I'll typically use the first view in the series and extend its levels across so they overlap the ones of the adjacent views, essentially joining it all together.
