I've been fighting with the cleanups in one particular wall for three days now getting nothing else accomplished....I've even called tech support but have had little luck.  The wall in question has a small alcove to the right (which in plan is bounded by a wing wall) but then continues up the second storey to a pitched roof (which abuts the middle of the second storey wall).  Originally I was trying to edit the profile of the wall to force it to continue up the second storey to the pitched roof then realized I could just attach the wall to the roof.  I also tried creating an opening in the wall for the alcove instead of editing the entire wall's profile....but no matter what I do if I attempt to create an opening or edit the wall's profile in any way, the cleanups on the opposite end of the wall (the end that dies into the exterior stacked wall) go crazy.  Currently the end of that wall keeps showing through the top portion of the stack (metal panel) as brick (the lower portion of the stack).  When I get it fixed the wing wall of the alcove decides it needs to be an inch shorter than I want it to be.  I pull it back that extra inch and the brick cleanup problem is back....WHAT DO I DO??

Try to "disallow join" for the wall joins in question (by right clicking the blue stretch handle on the wall) and then manually joining them by using the join geometry tool. Before you join them though align the end of the first wall to the internal edge of your finish and the end of the second to the finish if the first. Also take note in what order you join them as it will give you a diff result. Try this in diff configs.

This has sorted my probs in many cleanup cases, hope it works for you.

Thanks Sparky,

Walls are cleaning up nicely in plan.....in elevation there is one little 6" x 1' opening in the wall where all of the walls and roof come together.  At this point, though, I'm willing to live with it.  Unless that is a problem you are familiar with.

 Thanks again,

SAM

I'm not sure what I did, but everything is kosher now.  No little hole in the wall.  Thanks for all the help.
