i have vista premium 2gb ram gfx card etc 800gb HD and revit 9.1

the only way i can get either revit and autocad working is by running as administrator

every now and then (normally when i view my project in elevation) it comes up with errors and i have to save as a recovery and close revit down.  its happening on more than 1 project which i have started from scratch on that machine and another project that i started using my machine at work

in the end i start getting a recovery of a recovery....

any1 know why please? is it vista or revit? btw it WAS working fine under XP

revit 9.1 is now supported on Vista. RAC 2008 is Vista ready. though some people run as you said, as administrator.

you will probably save yourself a lot of trouble by switching to RAC 2008. if you can't wait for the DVD's , you can download from the Autodesk web site.
