I have a model with wood bearing walls, 16" wood joist bearing on the top plates and lightweight conc. on 3/4" osb deck. What I need is for the walls below to show up as hidden, but nothing I have done will get this to work. I have adjusted the veiw range multiple different levels, turned the floor off in vis/graphics, but still nothing. Any ideas?

There are multiple methods to achieve this...

1.  Overlay another floor plan on the sheet that is setup to show those walls using a hidden linestyle and set it to not have a view title.  This is the most flexible method as you don't have redo linework if walls are deleted or new ones added.

2.  Turn on the underlay of the same level, switch to wireframe and then use the linework tool (hidden line) to pick each of the edges you wish to show then turn off the underlay.  The linework remains and is associated to the walls so will move if the walls move.

3.  If there is nothing concealing the walls (ie: no floor blocking them) you can adjust the view range and set the view depth value to a negative offset that encompasses your walls below.  Anything that shows between your bottom clip plane and the view depth clip plane is shown using the "beyond" linestyle.  So therefore you can edit your object styles to have the beyond linestyle use a hidden line.

 HTH.

You sir, are a godsend. #3 is exactly what fixed my problem, <beyond> was set to solid.
