I copied a bunch of furniture and appliances to the clipboard to paste in another residential unit. This seemed to work fine, except for some objects.  They are present in the new location, but the insertion x is all that shows when I hover over it.  I am working in a hidden line mode, which led me to believe it was a visability thing\ - checked all of the coarse, med, fine, shading, wireframe, etc. settings and the same thing.  If everything still works for the same family at the original location and no changes have been made to that objects properties, why would the new copy be invisable in plan view but visable in any other view?  Another oddity... If I open the family for say a cabinet that this problem is happening with to check the visability check boxes, all are checked like they should be, but when I close it, I get a Revit error prompt that the document failed to open.... Please help!

If anyone is curious what I was talking about... I figured it out... It was the imports in families checkbox under imported categories that was unchecked in the new view.
